Ceramides (fatty acids) make up over 50% of the skin’s composition and our skin produces it naturally. However, as we age, these fatty acids decrease and make our skin more vulnerable to a damaged barrier, wrinkles, dryness and irritation.

According to a journal published by Dove Medical Press Limited, topical application of a ceramide moisturizer used in a study led to increased skin hydration and decreased transepidermal water loss (TEWL), making it suitable to help restore extremely dry skin. Maintaining the skin barrier function is important to lower the skin's sensitivity towards irritants, allergens and microbes.

In other words, ceramides help create a barrier to prevent permeability. This makes the skin more resistant against external factors like environmental damage and pollutants. It also helps to lock moisture into the skin more effectively, which keeps dryness and irritation at bay.

DDC is a lightweight acidic foaming gel cleanser with AHA & BHA that gently exfoliates while delivering intense soothing effect with Allantoin and Aloe Vera. Salicylic acid content in DDC has the ability to go deep into the pores and unclogged the chunks, ridding the whitehead and blackhead appearance.
