Got a volume or tone pot or pickup selector on your guitar/pedal/amp that scratches when you move it around?

Try this before sending it for repair :

1) Buy an Electronics Contact Cleaner spray, like this one from ACE Hardware (rm16.43 only). Don't use WD40
2) Remove the plastic k**b
3) spray into the potentiometer shaft or pickup selector. Getting it wet with contact cleaner is fine as it will evaporate. *WD-40 will Not evaporate
4) keep turning the k**bs for a few minutes
5) Test and repeat if necessary.
6) Refix the k**b.

*Extra Tip: Contact Cleaner can also help remove sticker glue residue ;)
