Lord, use me where I am.
There are days where I feel I can do more,
and be more.
But I don't want to build you a temple,
when you have better plans for me.
Help me, Lord, to be grateful where I am,
To know that I can serve from where I am,
and that I am here because
you have allowed me to be here,
to make a difference here,
to be a blessing to others here.

Short though it is, our blessing prayer contains three of the four following main types of prayer: gratitude, supplication, praise and contrition. We can break the meal prayer down into these specific prayer parts:

Supplication: “Bless us, O Lord”

Gratitude: “and these, thy gifts, which we are about to receive from thy bounty,”

Praise: “through Christ our Lord, Amen.”

Came across this quote by Dr. Jordan B. Peterson this past week. I am so provoked by this, not necessarily in a bad way but feeling something there. Like yes, I know I am more than I am now. My choices. My decisions. The paths I choose. Yes I am way less than I could be, because I know I can be more. I know I can go further than just docking at the shore. Terrifying to go open sea. But it is liberating. I chose to face my fears and walk through them and then discovering that it is not the scary path I expect and imagine it would be. I realise for every baby step I take, God has prepared the next stone for me to step on. I just need to aim, focus and move forward. I have chosen to allow myself to make mistakes and to rise above them, to make better decisions. I can say I finally am happier after confronting these fears, taking baby steps, expelling the what-if thoughts. Anyway Dr. Jordan’s words are the dialogue of my monologues. Love the way he describes every inch of a thought. Hope this post inspires you!

Today I learned the freedom of being our authentic selves, especially when there is a kid around. The kid inspires the adult if he/she allows it ♥️ I got home thinking to myself why didn’t I join in for this Zumba session with my son. It was so fun!
