Sometimes, the best creative journeys start with a joke in a WhatsApp chat! 💬✨

One day, we texted native Malaysian bamboo flute artist Ayawan Musafir Singgah with a casual thought:"Why not create a jewelry collection and name it by your name?"

Without hesitation, Ayawan agreed—and immediately said he wanted to create a music and fashion showcase for it! What began as a playful message quickly turned into late-night brainstorming sessions, beautiful sketches, and the creation of our signature Ayawan Series.

Behind our special collection is a legendary Malaysian artist: Ayawan Musafir Singgah.

Mr. Ayawan hailing from Perak, he has dedicated over 20 years to mastering and performing the bamboo flute.His music is more than a performance—it is a journey into the heart of nature’s spirit.

Beyond playing in malls and hotels across Malaysia, his artistry earned him an invitation to play for royalty in the Middle East.We are honored to celebrate his musical legacy through our handcrafted jewelry.

This August, EarthSea Jewelleries' designers Tan Sze Ai & Lau Jun Shao, had joined forces with Ayawan Sound of Bamboo—a celebrated Perak-born bamboo flute player and composer of native music who was invited to perform for royals in the Middle East.

This unique collaboration brings together two artistic worlds: the intricate, hand-stitched elegance of Baba Nyonya bead embroidery and the soul-stirring, natural rhythms of native Malaysian music. Together, they have bridged visual design and sound to reimagine heritage for a brand-new audience.
