It was truly an honour to be invited by Sunway Institute for Global Strategy & Competitiveness (IGSC), Sunway University as a featured speaker for "Refashioning the Future: Conversations with The Next Gen Fashion Consumers & Producers."

Sharing the stage with Barbara Ebbli, Founder & Creative Director of Malaika, was a wonderful opportunity to exchange ideas on the future of fashion, sustainability, craftsmanship, and the evolving expectations of the next generation of consumers and producers.

During the session, I shared the journey of Kenny Loh Couture—how we preserve the rich heritage of the Peranakan Nyonya Kebaya while embracing innovation, responsible fashion practices, and contemporary design. It was encouraging to engage with students, academics, and industry professionals who are passionate about shaping a more sustainable and culturally meaningful fashion industry.

✨ A Proud Moment for Kenny Loh Couture in Medan, Indonesia ✨

Our Nyonya Kebaya Fashion Showcase at Melayu Night by Pulau Pinang during Pekan Raya Sumatera Utara (PRSU) 2026 has concluded successfully!

It was a tremendous honour to represent Malaysia and Penang, bringing the timeless elegance of the Peranakan Nyonya Kebaya to the international stage. Every piece showcased reflected the beauty of our cultural heritage, the artistry of handcrafted embroidery, and the stories that have been passed down through generations.

Culture has the power to connect people beyond borders, and we are proud to have shared the rich heritage of the Baba Nyonya community with the people of Medan. Thank you to everyone who attended, supported, and celebrated this meaningful cultural exchange with us.

My sincere appreciation to the organisers, the State of Penang delegation, our dedicated models, makeup artists, hairstylists, and the entire team whose passion and hard work made this showcase a great success.

Together, let us continue to preserve, promote, and celebrate the beauty of the UNESCO-inscribed Kebaya, ensuring this precious heritage inspires future generations.
