The Grow Impact Journal
As we've completed the first seven months of 2026, we took a moment to look back... and we're honestly quite touched.
Not because Grow Market is getting bigger. But because our community keeps growing in the right direction.
First of all, thank you to every vendor, visitor and friend who believes in what we're building together.
Since the very beginning, Grow Market has been practicing a No Rubbish Bin Market.
Not because we don't like rubbish bins. 😆
But because we hope everyone will pause for a moment and think about what we use, what we throw away, and how our little choices can make a difference.
Here's what we achieved together from January to July 2026.
🌿 Average general waste after every market: only 5kg
Considering we have more than 80 vendors and thousands of visitors every month, this number makes us smile. 😊
Can we make it even lower?
We think... yes. And we'll continue trying, together.
🌱 Around 45kg of food waste is composted every month
Instead of ending up in a landfill, the food scraps collected at Grow Market are sent to 風和日麗事務所 The Mutualists, where they are composted and returned to the earth.
Because what comes from nature can always find its way back to nature.
♻️ Our recycling family is growing too! Every month, more friends are bringing their recyclables to Grow Market.
From January to July, we collected an average of 24kg of recyclables every market through our friends at Riiicycle.
The most collected items?
📦 Carton boxes — 52.5kg
🥛 Tetra Pak cartons — 40.2kg
Every bottle, every box and every carton sorted properly is one small ripple towards a greener community.
This wouldn't be possible without these amazing people.
