Guatemalan jade necklace It is considered a green Mayan precious stone that has great value since pre-Hispanic times.

According to the worldview of Mesoamerican cultures, jade connected them with life and nature.

The stone is formed as a result of great underground pressures and rises to the surface with the movement of tectonic plates. This has variations in terms of its color and that is due to the presence and quantity of different minerals.

The type of jade in this necklace is considered Jadeite. Guatemala is one of the four countries rich in Jadeite, since it is valuable because it is scarce and can also be found in Myanmar, Japan and Russia.
