We spoke to Ryan about writing, painting, translation, and finding creativity in an increasingly distracted world.

Did you know? Polymer clay doesn’t dry in the air like traditional clay, it cures in the oven!
That’s what makes it such a fun material to work with.

Before it’s baked, it can be mixed like paint, rolled into intricate patterns, textured, sculpted and reshaped until everything feels just right.

But the baking is only halfway there. Each piece is then sanded, drilled, assembled and finished by hand before it’s ready to wear.

And here’s our favourite part: because every pattern is handmade, no two Terra pieces are ever exactly alike. Those tiny differences are what make each one unique. 🤍

🔴 Meet Clint, founder and creative director of Stradalia.

Self-taught graphic designer who believes in doing things just right, not fast. And sometimes, “just right” means doing things in a non-linear way, following your own path, and acknowledging that there is not one cut and paste method that will work for every designer.

For Clint this eventually led to starting his own lifestyle brand, a spark inspired by classic car culture and the slow Mediterranean way of life - .

There’s something special about stepping into a maker’s space 🤍

Yesterday we visited Rosella’s studio to collect a new delivery of her ceramics. Each piece shaped through process, intuition, and letting go.

“Clay has given me the idea that you have no control. You can’t truly control clay; you can only reach your objective. Repeating a process a hundred times might make you feel in control, but true control is an illusion.

If I am making mugs, I look at them and craft handles to fit each mug individually. For me, not controlling is a conscious choice. Clay teaches you to deal with whatever comes.”
