Achraf Kassami, a very knowledgable and charming guide that we work closely with for Parnassus clients. We did the usual tourist trail of Ben Youssef Madrasa, The Koutoubia Mosque, The Jewish Quarter and the Badii Palace before wandering around the souks and observing the snake charmers and monkey trainers in Jemaa el-Fnaa, the main square. This is when it really hit me that Marrakech is probably the closest place you can fly to from Europe to experience a completely different culture. We were famished after our morning expedition and so decided to have a bite to eat at Cafe Arabe, a rooftop terrace restaurant with vistas of The Atlas Mountains. It is a very relaxing pitstop to grab a Casablanca, the delicious local beer.
