TAD Enterprises

TAD Enterprises TAD Enterprises was established in 1993 and was transformed into TAD Enterprises (Pvt) Ltd in year 2008.

We have carried our operations for a period of more than a decade and has been able to become a successful business over the years.

Most of us would agree that significant growth occurs in the face of challenge. This is no different in the agricultural sector. Mud, dust, debris, extreme heat or cold all foresee some of the biggest harvests for farmers, but they also place high demands on the products used to reap the rewards.

With agricultural tractors the workhorses of the sector, solutions for drivetrain, engine, suspension and steering must be able to withstand the tests of the four seasons. We’ve therefore cultivated a wide range of solutions including our Explorer roller and ball bearings, plain bearings and bushings, geared hub units and seals to take on these conditions in the name of growth – for people, plants, and profits.

Our seals safeguard more than lubrication and components, namely, a rich history. With over 100 years of industrial application experience and unique insight into bearings and seals, we have an unmatched understanding of the interactions between bearings, seals and lubrication, as well as the dynamics of reciprocating systems.

We see every sealing challenge as an opportunity to unlock new performance capabilities, knowing that with the right seals, capabilities and durability performance can be significantly improved.

And since seals help reduce friction, extend maintenance intervals and increase sustainability, this tells us one fundamental thing: with the right seal by its side, there’s nothing our bearings can’t do.

Assar Gabrielsson, sales manager and Björn Prytz, Managing Director of SKF, founded Volvo AB in 1927?

It originally functioned as a subsidiary automobile company within the SKF group. SKF used one of the company's trademarked names: AB Volvo, which derives from the Latin "I roll," which brings the image of bearings in motion to mind.

We’ve watched the seasons change for over a century, closely studying the earth’s natural rhythms – sometimes predictable, other times wholly unknown. It has taught us that although size, location, elevation, climate, soil structure and crop rotation make every farm unique, every farm’s equipment endures many of the same challenging conditions.

Be it mud, dust and debris; Extreme heat and cold; Rain and runoff; Corrosive chemicals; Long periods of inactivity; Intense periods of work ¬ the ability to meet these conditions has often come down to tractor sub-systems, in drive train, engine, suspension and steering.

That’s why we’ve created bearings, seals and lubrication systems that support designs offering greater fuel efficiency, operator comfort and GPS control for all stages of the crop cycle – ensuring the growth of crops, and businesses.

Did you know that lubrication is essential to a bearing’s service life? But not just any lubrication. The selected grease needs to be suitable for your bearing’s application, as well as applied in the correct quantity. The secret to improving the reliability of your operations lies in dispensing lubricants at the right time, in the right way and amounts, as well as using the right systems – something, we can help you do through our lubrication services – allowing you to focus elsewhere.

“Great design is not just a solution, it is the elimination of the problem” – M. Cobanli. And sometimes, it’s the finishing touches that make the ultimate difference.

Take heat and surface treatments. These treatments ensure that rolling bearing rings and rolling elements can cope with challenges such as fatigue, plastic deformations, applied loads and changed dimensions. And there are three common hardening methods out there.

Through-hardening is the standard method used on most bearings, providing good fatigue and wear resistance, as hardening is applied over the full cross-section. Surface induction hardening, on the other hand, is used to harden a component’s raceway to limit rolling contact fatigue, leaving the remainder of the component unaffected to maintain structural strength. Lastly, case hardening increases hardness on the surface and is used where rings are subjected to high impact loads causing structural deformations.

In addition to heat, all of these treatments have one important characteristic in common, namely, limiting dimensional changes caused by metallurgical effects at extreme temperatures – thereby giving bearings the ultimate strength to take on almost any challenge.

Did you know that one of six bearings fail because of inadvertent damage sustained during mounting? This makes proper mounting critical to avoid failures and high costs. One of the most common mounting procedures includes using a vertical shaft mounting position and working with heat.

This is because hot mounting has proven to be very practical, fast and cost-effective. Centring components mounted vertically also works well as gravity helps keep a component correctly pressed against the abutment when it cools and shrinks after heating. The trick to getting it right lies in speed, as mounting after heating should be done quickly to avoid temperature losses that may cause the component to become stuck in the wrong position or cause other damage.

And there are plenty of options to choose from, including fitting a warm bearing on a room-temperature shaft seat, placing a room-temperature shaft in a warm bearing, placing a room-temperature bearing in a warm housing, or fitting a warm housing on a room-temperature shaft-mounted bearing.
