We are thrilled to share that Green Life Generation has been recognized by Devex as one of the "19 Local Organizations to Watch"! 🌿👀 We are honored to stand with other brilliant local organisations, and highlights our unwavering commitment to fostering sustainable business practices with a gender justice lens driving the shift to a circular economy from the margins.
Our mission is simple but powerful: to turn waste into priority and opportunity. By sourcing unused fabrics from factories, homes, and manufacturers, our brand I Am Upcycled transform them into handmade products crafted by our incredible team 💪🧵
We prioritise hiring:
🔸 Single mothers
🔸 Women over 35
🔸 Women with disabilities
🔸 Women with caretaking responsibilities
🔸 Women with husbands in the informal labor sector
But our impact goes beyond upcycled fashion! ♻️ Through our “No Cash, Only Trash” initiative and Bincoin system, we are transforming waste into social value. Community members can exchange waste for BINCOIN (our alternative local waste based currency), shop sustainably at our Green Life Boutique and get access to an ecosystem of products and community services. This innovative circular economy model is just one way we’re driving positive change. 🌱✨
