The statue of the Bodhisattva pictured here in all its serenity was handcrafted for the Bodhi Dhamma Vihara Bendigo- āļļāˇāļ°āˇ āļ°āļ¸āˇāļ¸ āˇāˇāˇāˇāļģāļē āļļāˇāļąāˇāļŠāˇāļ⎠in Bendigo, Australia. The sacred being, among others, is believed to have delayed his own attainment of Nibbana in order to help others enter paradise sooner.
Recently, we had the pleasure of meeting the patron of the Vihara Mr. Deeptha Wickramaratne, after many years of working together.
Mr. Wickramaratne who visited our humble shop in Kandy was given a token of appreciation by our Chairman Mr. Dhammika Swarnasinghe for his tireless work in developing the foundation in Bendigo.
The newly built temple is presently in the process of constructing the vihara premises for the first ever sapling of the Sri Maha Bodhi planted in Australia. If you would like make a contribution to this effort, please visit bodhidhammabgo.org.au/donations/ to make a donation to the foundation.
