With the introduction of SSCL tax on vehicle imports, effective from May 1st, 2026, anyone importing vehicles to Sri Lanka hereafter may have to bear this additional cost.
Based on initial calculations, the total cost of vehicles is expected to increase significantly, although final figures may vary.
Sadly, this is an unfortunate situation for buyers, as prices will not remain the same going forward.
