We salute a courageous true Sri Lankan Hero!

Dinesh Priyantha creates history by winning Sri Lanka's First Ever Gold at Paralympics at Tokyo 2020. Competing in the Men's Javelin Throw (F46) he not only won Sri Lanka's first ever Gold, but also went on to establish a new World Record.

Joining the Sri Lanka Army at the age of 18 in 2004, he was wounded in Kilinochchi during the final stages of the humanitarian operations in December 2008 and retired from the Army on medical grounds at the age of 22.

The courage and the perseverance of this young man is an example for everyone in Sri Lanka.
