Two companions entered. The Prophet (peace be upon him) remained as he was, resting, not adjusting his clothing.

When Uthman ibn Affan (may Allah be pleased with him) sought permission to enter, the Prophet (peace be upon him) sat up immediately and straightened his garment. Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) asked about the difference.

He replied: "Shouldn't I be shy toward a man whom the angels are shy toward?" (Muslim)

The angels. Showing modesty before a human being. His hayaa had reached a level that other creation recognised and honoured.

The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "Modesty and faith are linked together. If one disappears, so does the other." (Ibn Majah) Not weakened. Disappears. The state of one tells you the state of the other. May Allah preserve our hayaa.
