VERDALIS

Verdalis was born while watching the sun set over the sacred waters between Preah Khan and Neak Pean.

As golden light settled across the wetlands, water lilies drifted across the surface while lotus blooms rose from the still water. In the distance stood the ancient Mebon of Neak Pean, a sanctuary inspired by the mythical Lake Anavatapta, whose waters were believed to bring healing, balance and renewal.

That moment became a perfume.

Aquatic water lily forms the heart of Verdalis, surrounded by the crisp green freshness of galbanum and holy basil. Bright bergamot catches the last rays of sunlight, while geranium, champaca and jasmine sambac drift through the humid evening air like flowers carried on the breeze.

Fresh. Green. Tranquil.

Part of our Baitong Collection, Verdalis is an invitation into Cambodia’s living wilderness, where floating lilies, sacred waters and ancient stone exist in perfect harmony.

Available in our Kandal Village atelier.

SAMPOT

Rooted in tradition, woven by hand.

Introducing the SAARTI Sampot Skirt, inspired by the timeless elegance of traditional Khmer dress and crafted entirely in Cambodia. Each piece begins as 100% handwoven cotton, created slowly by skilled artisans in village weaving communities where these techniques have been passed down through generations. The fabric is then carefully tailored into modern Khmer-inspired silhouettes by local Cambodian tailors.

For centuries, Khmer artisans have been known for their mastery of weaving and textile craftsmanship. The sampot is more than clothing. It is cultural memory woven into cloth.

By choosing pieces like these, you help support both village weavers and local tailors while helping keep Cambodia’s home-based weaving traditions alive for future generations.

Natural fibres, traditional silhouettes and the beauty of Cambodian hands behind every thread.

100% locally made.

Oudh Khmer was created as a softer interpretation of oud.

Unlike many heavy, overpowering oud fragrances, this perfume was designed to feel luminous, airy and effortless on the skin. Deep Cambodian oud wood is softened with creamy sandalwood and layered with delicate white musk, giving the fragrance a lighter, almost weightless texture that moves beautifully in the tropical humidity of Cambodia.

The inspiration came from the atmosphere of ancient temples after rain. Sacred smoke drifting through warm air, dark wood softened by moisture and earth, richness without heaviness.

A modern Cambodian oud, created for this climate and this landscape.

Crafted in small batches in Siem Reap by SAARTI.

Now available online and in-store.

The first burn of a candle is the most important.

When lighting your candle for the first time, allow the wax to melt fully across the surface, right to the edges of the vessel. This usually takes a few hours depending on the size of the candle.

Wax has a memory. If a candle is extinguished too early during its first burn, it can create a narrow melt pool that continues throughout the life of the candle. This is what causes tunnelling, where wax is left clinging to the sides while the candle burns straight down the centre.

A full first burn helps set an even burn memory, allowing the candle to perform as it was intended, with a steady flame, stronger scent throw and a cleaner, more complete burn.

A small ritual of patience that changes the entire life of the candle.

MONSOON

A concentrated essential oil blend inspired by the arrival of monsoon season in Cambodia.

After months of dry heat and heavy air, the rains come suddenly. The pressure breaks, the earth cools and everything feels alive again. Dust settles, trees deepen in colour and the atmosphere becomes charged with freshness.

MONSOON was created to capture that feeling of release and renewal through aromatherapy.

Blended with cedarwood, pomelo, basil and clary sage, this 10 ml pure essential oil concentrate is designed to refresh the senses, clear mental fatigue and shift the energy of a space.

Pomelo brings a bright citrus clarity to the blend and is often used in aromatherapy to uplift the mood, reduce sluggishness and restore emotional lightness.

Basil has a green, herbaceous sharpness that helps awaken the mind and improve focus, making it especially supportive during periods of mental exhaustion or overwhelm.

Clary sage is known for its calming and balancing qualities. Traditionally used to ease tension and quiet the nervous system, it brings a soft sense of release to the blend.

Cedarwood anchors everything with its warm, grounding depth. In aromatherapy, it is often used to create feelings of stability, calm and emotional reassurance.

Add a few drops to your diffuser and let the space feel washed clean, like Cambodia after the first monsoon rain.

AROM

In Khmer, arom (អារម្មណ៍) speaks to feeling, mood, emotion, the inner atmosphere we carry within us. It is not only how something smells, but how it makes us feel.

For this collection, we wanted to create body rituals guided by emotion and sensation through scent, texture and plant alchemy.

AWAKEN
Galangal & Holy Basil
Bright, green and energising. A clarifying blend inspired by early morning markets, crushed herbs and the feeling of returning to the body.

SURRENDER
Sandalwood & Coconut
Creamy coconut and sacred woods melt into the skin in a ritual of release. Soft, calming and deeply exhaling.

EARTH
Ylang Ylang & Vetiver
Floral warmth meets damp roots and dark vetiver. Smoky, sensual and richly earthy.

Three scent rituals for the body and senses, available as a hand & body wash and nourishing body cream.

NAGA opens in green.

Not the polished green of modern cologne, but something darker and more ancient. Crushed leaves, bitter herbs, damp roots and jungle air after rain. At the centre of this opening is Armoise, also known as Mugwort, a sacred plant used for centuries in ritual, perfumery and Traditional Chinese Medicine.

In TCM, mugwort is most famously used in moxibustion, an ancient practice where dried mugwort is burned near the body to warm the meridians, stimulate circulation and move stagnant energy. The rising aromatic smoke is believed to help restore balance, strengthen vitality and dispel internal cold. There is something deeply ritualistic about it. Fire, smoke and plant medicine working together.

Its scent carries a similar feeling. Clarifying, protective and grounding. Across many traditions, mugwort has long been associated with protection, intuition and cleansing. Burned in homes, carried as an amulet or used ceremonially, the plant was believed to ward away negative influences while sharpening the senses.

Green perfumes affect us differently to sweeter or more ornamental fragrances. The scent of leaf, stem and wild herbs reconnects the mind to the living world. There is tension in it. Freshness balanced with bitterness, softness against something untamed.

In NAGA, the vivid herbal opening slowly descends into darker woods, resin and earth, like stepping deeper into the jungle at dusk.

Many modern fragrance brands begin with a ready-made formula.
SAARTI begins with the perfumer.

Behind every SAARTI scent is the slow process of composition. Raw materials weighed by hand, accords built from memory and atmosphere, formulas adjusted again and again until the feeling is right.

Niche perfumery, to me, is not about luxury for the sake of luxury. It is about authorship. A scent with a human hand behind it. A perfume shaped by intuition, obsession and artistic vision rather than trend forecasting or mass production.

Every SAARTI fragrance is composed in-house in Cambodia, guided by ritual, place and story. Not selected from a catalogue. Not designed for everyone. Created deliberately, with the perfumer present in every step.

CHANTOU
Khmer tuberose.

As dusk settles across Cambodia, the scent of tuberose begins to awaken. What lingers softly through the heat of the day becomes richer, creamier and more intoxicating with the arrival of evening air. Night blooming flowers release their fragrance most intensely after sunset, drawing pollinators through darkness with a scent that feels almost otherworldly.

In Cambodia, tuberose has long been woven into offerings, ceremonies and moments of devotion. Its perfume drifts through temple grounds and family altars after dark, carried on warm night breezes.

CHANTOU was created in honour of this ritual hour. A candle for twilight and stillness, capturing the narcotic creaminess of tuberose balanced by the fresh green character of the living stem.

Light at dusk, when the heat softens and the perfume of night blooming flowers begins to awaken.

Available exclusively in our flagship store.
