From Dr. Noel in Volcanoes National Park, Rwanda:
On June 14, I visited Susa group for a routine health check. The group was found in the Rwokera area of the park, at an altitude of 3155 meters. When we first arrived to the group, the dominant silverback Kurira and third ranking silverback Kiki were with the majority of the females, while beta silverback Igisha was thirty meters from the group with the blackbacks. After 1.5 hours, they rejoined each other. Adult females Igiti and Ruvumu both had small cuts, on the neck and right wrist respectively, but both were healing well. The 35 individuals of Susa group were all observed and were in good general health.
