The character of the young Japanese lady is one of the most delicate ones to create. We must really get her fashion style and match her personality to it.

This is, obviously, still a work in progress.😅
We have done a lot of research on Japanese ladies' fashion style, the way they think, behave and react, and how their clothes would reflect those points.

After dozens of different styles and outfits, here are the styles we have selected so far, but we plan on getting down to 1, maybe 2.

Dear page members, thank you so much for following Yabai Comic.
Our project is still in the development process, but we will try, when possible, to post updates to share what we do, with you, our followers.
Here is the evolution of our main character. We tried to make him likable, not too good-looking, and at the same time, not too much of the ''Foreigner Stereotype'', according to Japanese people's standards we interviewed.
What we want our readers to feel was to connect with a character who makes you wanna buy him a drink even before talking to him, as he looks like he could be your future B.F.F. 😁👍

What do you think of him?

We are a small team passioned about Japanese culture.
We’ve lived in Japan for years and realized how strong and surprising Its culture and language can be, and how different it is for foreign travelers.

Have you ever felt you don’t belong here? Ever been shocked by someone sleeping in the train.....standing up? You’ve heard of stereotypes about Japanese but don’t know if it’s true?

We are creating a comic book based on our life, experiences and discoveries on Japanese culture, lifestyle, working conditions and many others. We do not use stereotypes, but only real life situations, always based on our own life in Japan.

We really hope you’ll like it and look forward to sharing our passion about Japan with all of you!
