Hello.
Today, I fixed the Canon AE - 1 shutter squeal.
If there is no lubricant on the gear of the shutter, pressing a shutter will generate an abnormal sound. If this condition is maintained, the gear will wear out and gradually become useless.
The repair method is as follows.
1. Prepare syringe to insert lubricant into gear. This syringe is for transferring lotion. (1st pic)
2. Prepare lubricant. This is a camera lubricant which is sold in Japan. (2nd pic)
3. Remove the two screws on the back lid. I need a Phillips screwdriver. (3rd, 4th pic)
4. When you are not sending a film, the magnet is away. (5th pic)
5. Sending a move the lever film, the magnet will stick. Looking at the gap, you can see the gear behind, so insert the lubricant. (6th pic)

The light meter made by Pentax is very rare. The exposure meter responds properly.
