✨✨Season’s Greetings ✨✨
As we prepare to wrap up 2025, Eiji, Daisuke, Sachie, Shin and Kiyo at our gallery in Shiba Daimon, and Allison in New York, have been reflecting on the last twelve months.
The year began with a major transition with the passing of Norman Tolman who co-founded the gallery with his wife Mary in 1972 and led the gallery for decades with vision, warmth and humor. His absence is keenly felt, but his spirit remains at the heart of everything we do.
All of our artists remember how steadfastly he championed them and their work and we are determined to continue this legacy.
According to the Asian zodiac, 2026 is the Year of the Horse, with the characteristics of energy, passion, and openness. These are qualities that Norman Tolman embodied so naturally, and ones we hope to carry forward as we continue to introduce new artists and works that bring meaning and beauty into our daily lives.
We are deeply grateful for your ongoing support, and we look forward to sharing many more moments of artistic discovery with you in the year ahead, whether at the gallery or at one of the many art fairs on our upcoming schedule for 2026.

2025年も終わりに近づき、芝大門のギャラリーにいる英司、大介、幸枝、心、キヨ、そしてニューヨークのアリスンは、この一年を振り返っています。
年初、私たちは大きな節目を迎えました。1972年に妻メアリーとともに当ギャラリーを創業し、長年その歩みを導いてきたノーマン・トールマンが逝去しました。彼の不在は今も強く感じられますが、その精神は変わらず、私たちの活動の中心にあります。ノーマン・トールマンがアーティストや作品に注いできた深い情熱と支えを、私たちはこれからも大切に受け継いでいきます。
アジアの干支では、2026年は「午年」。エネルギーや情熱、そしてオープンな心を象徴する年です。これは、ノーマン・トールマンその人を思い起こさせる言葉でもあります。私たちはこの精神を胸に、新しいアーティストや作品を紹介しながら、日々の暮らしに小さな発見や美しさを届けていきたいと考えています。
いつも温かいご支援をありがとうございます。2026年も、ギャラリーや各地のアートフェアで、皆様とアートを共有できる時間を楽しみにしています。
午年が、美しさと穏やかさ、そして幸せに満ちた一年になりますように。
