One of representative piece made by Tsujita Ryozo (1923~ ).
The title of this doll is "朝露 Morning dew". This is a doll that full of romanticism... and the simple lines has created a artistc sense which will not fade over time.

It comes with its original carton box, on which there is a calligraphic title "夕鶴 evening crane". The title is very much from the Japanese classical story of " Crane's Return/ The Crane of Gratitude" which is a story with lots of sentimental factors.
The hairlines were carefully carved which deepen this artistic piece and the three white flower falling petals had created such atmosphere of the "evening".
A such poetic piece and also with a sense of "Zen" from my view. Looks better in real than the photos.
