田舎／古民家に滞在しながらアー? Our Philosophy:

The residency was founded with three main goals:
1.

Shiro Oni Studio is an Artist in Residency program supported by NPO Art Net Kinuya, an organization that looks to find new purposes for underused, historically important buildings in the area surrounding Onishi. Create a non-commercial space for artists to concentrate on their work.
2. Facilitate opportunities for Japanese and foreign artists to work together, emphasizing idea exchange in a close-

knit community.
3. Introduce artists to Japanese rural culture, building personal relationships that benefit both artists and area locals. Geography:
Shiro Oni Art residency is made of 4 buildings a few minutes walking distance from one another in the small town of Onishi, Japan, located 2 hours north of Tokyo. Shiro Oni Studio consists of the following buildings:
◯Community Space: "Kinuya"
◯Public studio "Shiro Oni Studio"
◯Housing: "Yamori House"
◯Artist studios: "Kotoriya".



2013年夏、アートレジデンシー「Shiro Oni Studio」が始動しました！
アートレジデンシーとは、アーティストが滞在しながら、制作活動を行う場です。
現在、コミュニティスペース「きぬや」、パブリックスタジオ「Shiro Oni Studio」、滞在者用プライベートスタジオ「ことりや」、宿泊所「ヤモリハウス」の4ヶ所がアートレジデンシーの場所として使用されています。

◯コミュニティスペース「きぬや」は、レジデンシー滞在者が地元の方々とコミュニケーションを持つことを目的とした場です。20畳あまりある大部屋で大規模なパーティを開いたり、日だまりが心地良い中庭でバーベキューをしたり、エントランスの土間スペースは展示会、カフェ、物販など自由に使用することができます。広々としたキッチンと、充分なスペースがあり、どう使うか可能性は無限大です！WiFi完備。

◯パブリックスタジオ「Shiro Oni Studio」は、レジデンシー滞在者がいつでも使用できる、完成されたアートスタジオです。1Fには本格的な木工所と陶芸スタジオ、2Fには快適なオフィススペース、撮影スタジオ、ペイントスタジオがあります。必要な道具はすべて取り揃えてあります。この施設を使用するだけでも、鬼石に来る価値あり！WiFi完備。

◯プライベートスタジオ「ことりや」は、レジデンシー滞在者にそれぞれ割り当てられる「自分だけの」スタジオです。壁と床はありますので、中身はあなた色にいかようにも染めてください。徒歩30秒のところにコンビニがあり、利便性にも優れています。

◯宿泊所「ヤモリハウス」は、心優しい家守家オーナーのご協力により実現した、完璧なゲスト宿泊施設です。清潔なキッチン、広いお風呂、プライバシーが守られる個室、鬼石イチの展望を誇るテラス、広大なガーデンと、素晴らしく快適な設備が揃っています。ロケーションは南向きの川沿い、春には桜が咲き誇る美しい田舎風景が見られます。

◯2013年より、特定非営利活動法人「古民家で結ぶアートネットきぬやの会」が発足し、シロオニスタジオはアート活動部門を担うことになりました。こちらが定款です�http://www.npo.pref.gunma.jp/juuran/25-36.pdf
