Inspired by Palestinian embroidery, our pieces aim to give new life to traditional patterns through modern artistic concepts. These particular pieces were created in collaboration with and took a month to weave together 2,868 stitches of perfection.

تجربة جديدة حاولنا نعملها الشهر الماضي. كل المواد المستخدمة فيها كانت قديمة او مستخدمة. اعدنا تدوير اللمبات و استخدمنا باقي القماش من حيط المطرز الي شتغلناه السنة الماضية.
فيها كان شويت مصاعب و عدة محاولات ولكن جربنا قد ما منقدر ليطلع الشكل النهائي مثل ما هو في الصورة.
استخدمنا درزتين فقط. واحدة بتمثل القمر او نجم و ثانية واحدة من أشكال المربعات المستخدمة في التطريز الفلسطيني
و استخدمنا مش حديد الخفيف عالي المرونة. قدرنا نعمل منه الشكل الدائري الي مبين بالصورة.
بعد ما نجحنا بهاي التجربة....
اليوم عم منشتغل على قطع جديدة و فصلنا ستاندات تكون عملية لتتركب عليها قطع المش المطرزة .
خبرونا اذا حبيتوا الفكرة و اذا عندكم اقتراحات بتحبوا نجربها.

New experiment we tried last month. All materials in these pieces are pre-used. We recycled Lampshades and used leftover fabrics from an embroidery wall we have made last year.
We faced some challenges while making them and tried to make them look as they are in the photo.
We used only two motifs only, one is "the moon" or star and the other is a square shape motif used in Palestinian embroidery.
We also used light wight mesh that is flexible to turn into the circular shapes you see in photos.
Now that we have successfully made them we are working on more equipped pieces and customizing stands at the moment that we can add embroidered mesh pieces to.
