Baileys Harbor

Meet Bailey, my youngest child and the third of our 7 blended family. Most know him simply as Beef from his high school soccer days.

Bailey was an energetic child who channeled all that spirit into soccer from a young age all the way through high school. He is a quiet, gentle old soul, incredibly passionate, loves with all his heart, and never hesitates to help out.

Bailey was quite young when I first formulated this scent, too young to truly understand it at the time. I wanted a fragrance that mirrored his deep heart and grounding presence, while also celebrating a place we truly enjoyed visiting together as a family. That dual inspiration led to the creation of Baileys Harbor.

Inspired by the Great Lakes and our trips to beautiful Door County, Wisconsin, this fragrance has been our number one seller by far for years.

Pittsburgh

Meet Veronica, or simply known as V. She is my middle child and the second out of seven in our blended family.

Veronica loves the thrills life has to offer. She is fun, energetic, youthful, loving, and beautiful on the inside and out. She is also incredibly intelligent. She attended Pitt University, where she graduated with two degrees in Marketing and Business Information Systems.

Her career as an Operations Analyst kept her in Pennsylvania for a time, which originally inspired this fragrance. Formulated years ago, and perfected over time, it is finally coming to The Wanderlab Co. under the name Pittsburgh. Known as the city of bridges, I wanted this scent to reflect both her brilliant mind and the industrial, vibrant spirit of the city itself.

Pittsburgh blends notes of River Rock, Coffee Flower, Mandarin, Industrial Steel, Pink Pepper, and Amyris with hints of Minty Patchouli, Vetiver Grass, and Tonka.

Recently, V moved to Boston to start her next chapter. While Pittsburgh is currently waiting in the lab for its official debut, a future Boston inspired scent is already in development to follow her journey.

Historic Third Ward (Milwaukee)

Meet Alexis, or Munchkin as I call her is the oldest of my three children, and the first of our seven blended.

Alexis attended UW Milwaukee for three years and then graduated from UW Madison with a degree in Elementary Education. She is currently a school teacher in the Madison area. Back when Alexis was attending college in Milwaukee, she sat down and helped me design the perfect luxe coffee shop fragrance.

Her love for coffee and visits to the Historic Third Ward in downtown Milwaukee inspired this scent. It captures that rich, comforting coffee shop vibe, blending the energy of the city streets with a beautifully smooth, warm, and inviting presence that perfectly bottles those nostalgic college years.

Created over a decade ago and perfected through the years, I will officially be releasing this favorite from the archives under The Wanderlab Co. in the future.

When I started creating fragrances, I realized that scent is the most powerful way to hold onto a memory. It connects us to places, moments, and most importantly, the people we love.

Every single scent I formulate tells a specific story and carries a deep meaning behind it. But among all the destinations I have brought to life, there are a number of fragrances that are the most important to me. These are the ones I created specifically for our beautifully blended family of seven children, alongside scents inspired by our family's most cherished travel destinations and milestone moments.

Some of these special scents are already a beloved part of The WanderLab Co. lineup, while others were formulated years ago, perfected over time, and will be introduced in the near future.

These specific scents are custom blends meant to capture unique personalities, cherished places, and the energy of the moments that define us. No shortcuts, no toxic ingredients. This means pure, clean formulations poured with love.

Over the next few weeks, I am taking you behind the scenes to share the meaning behind our fragrances, starting with the ones closest to my heart.
