Earthquake Safety Reminder from National Safety Limited

Earthquakes can strike without warning. Being prepared can make all the difference.

PREPARE
Conduct regular hazard hunts at home and work. Secure items that could fall, topple, or break during shaking.

RESPOND
When the shaking starts: Drop, Cover, and Hold On. Protect yourself from falling and from falling objects.

AFTER
Stay calm once the shaking stops. Check for injuries and damage, and be ready for aftershocks.

From preparing your space, to responding quickly during shaking, to staying alert after it stops, knowing what to do before, during, and after an earthquake helps protect lives.

As we welcome a new year, I extend my heartfelt gratitude to our customers, partners, and the entire National Safety Limited family. Your continued trust and support have strengthened our mission and guided our work throughout the past year.

The challenges we faced as a nation—especially in the aftermath of Hurricane Melissa—reminded us of the importance of unity, resilience, and faith. This causes me to pause to reflect on the Core Values of National Safety, in particular - #1 Common Respect For All and #5 A Collaborative Approach. This makes me confident that with God’s grace and guidance, our love for our fellow man and our collective commitment, Jamaica will continue to rise and thrive as we rebuild.

Let us “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.” - Proverbs 3:5-6

As we confidently march into 2026, may we embrace new opportunities, work together with renewed purpose, and prioritize the safety and well-being of all.

As we celebrate this holy season, we pause to reflect on the true meaning of Christmas—the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ, our Savior and Protector. His light reminds us that even in challenging times, hope remains unshaken.

In the wake of Hurricane Melissa, we trust in God’s continued grace and strength. With His blessings, and with unity as a nation, we will rebuild Jamaica—Stronger Together - Psalm 127:1. "Unless the Lord Builds the house the labourers labour in vain."

This Christmas, may the peace of Christ fill your homes, and may His love guide us into a brighter New Year.
