rosetta da originali dell'epoca

tastiera in robinia (Canneto Pavese)

Hi,

I am selling this lute, work of my friend and pupil Lorenzo Siffredi:
Renaissance 8 course lute, based on a study of the original by Zuane Hieber (Venice, 1587)
- spruce top (Val di Fiemme - Italy)
- rose after time originals
- bridge in Pear wood (Canneto Pavese [PV] Italy), with Ebony top (Gabon)
- Ebony edge with Holly wood pike (California - USA) edged in Ebony
- shell made out with 9 ribs in Cypress (Tuscany - Italy) with Mahogany spacers (South America)
- back of the neck and fingerboard in Ebony
- pegbox veneered in cypress on the sides, in Ebony front and back
- Ebony pegs
- Pyramid strings
All the wood was selected from my personal stash, so it is all seasoned at least 20-30 years
The instrument was entirely built in my workshop and under my guidance.
Playability and sound are positive to say the least (I would say excellent): it has been tried by
several lutenists and greatly appreciated by all.
Available for testing and possible purchase at my workshop in Stradella (PV - Italy)

Lorenzo is too modest and shy to propose this instrument with the necessary insistence, but I
consider it not less than a crime to leave it standing here.

The price (against my opinion) is only €1,500
a GZ case (in the photos) is available, others (rigid or semi-rigid) can be built, on request, in a
few days.
