In the other post about the "Studio 54" we clearly said that it wasn't a sound comparison, but some of you still commented about the sound...
Well, this is a direct recording of the sound of the new Tine Piano model that's powering the Studio 54 and will soon be released for Seventeen and Seven.
And, considering it can be heavily modified in various ways, including the "voicing" that totally changes the overall timbre, this is only one example. Max Tempia has heavy hands, but the sound is very dynamic.

Some info about the new Crumar "Studio 54". It's a physical modeling emulation of the "tine" piano inspired by the Rhodes Mark II Fiftyfour, featuring the exclusive Pulse 5409 hammer action keybed. Weighs about 20 pounds (excl. legs, sold separately), no lid, has only one sound: the tine piano emulation. Based on a new and improved tine piano model by GSi (soon to be included in Seven and Seventeen as well). No extra sounds, no built-in effects, mono output, 3 preset locations to store different sets of sound parameters, external PSU. Features ONE-CORD connection to Crumar effect pedals, including the new "Combo Effect Processor" (sold separately) that features a set of effects specifically designed for the electric piano. Mass production will start in 2027, expected price and availability: June 2027, price well below US$1000.

This video is not a sound comparison. It was recorded with a cellphone (notice that the audio quality changes as the phone moves). The unit shown here is the first prototype, final design will look definitely better 😆

The new lower manual for the Mojo61 features a USB port that allows you to connect the instrument to a computer, tablet, or smartphone and use it as a standalone controller. Can it be used with the DK61? Certainly: you need two USB ports on the device (or a USB hub), and the two keyboards will be recognized as separate controllers. Is the aesthetic perfectly matched? Not exactly... judge for yourself. However, it is a viable setup.

The answer is yes, the new lower manual can be used "stand-alone" like a common USB keyboard controller. Attach it to a computer or tablet, smartphone, whatever with USB host port (or standard MIDI plug) and some virtual instrument, and play it with or without velocity. Channel is also assignable. Of course it has only keys and nothing else... except maybe a large area where to put the rest of your equipment😊

After 10 years the Mojo61 gets a new redesigned look, slightly smaller, lighter, uses new PULSE 6105WF waterfall keybed, and keeps the same price of 2016... despite the terrible inflation of the last years. Ah and... the new lower manual also works as a standalone controller (no need for external MJU).
