AR Resonance Company Tour with
Sergei Nakariakov!!!
Come inside the AR Resonance workshop!
No script. No filters. Just sound, metal, and vision.
Join Sergei Nakariakov and AR Resonance founder Antonio Rapacciuolo for an impromptu walk through the workshop where ideas quietly turn into instruments.
This one felt special. Simply walking through the space together, taking it all in, surrounded by bells, tools, and the quiet intensity of creation.
From raw metal on the bench to finished instruments ready for the stage, you’ll see the details most people never get to experience.
This is not a factory. It’s a laboratory for sound.
It’s a small husband and wife team, a lot of passion, and an obsession with getting it right.
Welcome to AR Resonance.

We skipped the Christmas post, we skipped the New Year’s Eve post, but we made it in time for the 1st of January one!

2025 has been a COLOSSAL success for AR Resonance, ITG was a hit with Sergei Nakariakov playing the main concert, we visited many wonderful places, we started the production of our new cornet (we sold some 10 of them without even announcing it!), SO many flugelhorns have been delivered and many more still need to be finished!
Sooooo many trumpets too, soon (finally) a new instrument…

We wanted to share a couple of photos of what our past week has been, juggling between making, cooking and eating.

Thanks to everybody for your support, we can’t wait to tell you what will happen in 2026!!!

Here’s an update regarding yesterday’s “puzzle”!
A few people guessed correctly it was a jig for cornet bends.
Some said it was to make them round (for “balling”, as it’s commonly called). It’s not for that, I use a very similar set of dies, much sturdier.

I actually use it to trim the ends of the tubes with the milling machine. I reckon it’s the only way to be REALLY precise, square and repeatable.

After a prototyping phase we are now making the first of a couple of batches of 7 instruments each.

For those who are wondering: the jig is held down by suction, much easier than setting up vises.
The jig is oriented and centered with a Renishaw probe and a camera on our Datron M8Cube, kind of geeky 🙂

We proudly do our best to make as much as possible in house, from designing to tooling to making and finishing.
We don’t use “Asian” parts, at all, never did, unlike so many of the “makers” nowadays.
We invested heavily on machines, softwares, tools, competence (help from very competent friends, from whom we learned a lot!) since day one.
And that sets us apart from the vast majority of the other companies.

We don’t take the easy route, we don’t do how the others do, and I love thinking this is the reason why so many of you guys appreciate what we make.

Thank you so much for supporting my wife and I!

A new batch of 50 trumpets, cornets and flugelhorns is going to be ready soon!
We have a couple of friends from Australia here in the shop helping with some (tedious but very needed) work so Elisa and I can focus on more tricky things.

To all of our customers: thanks for your support and patience!!!

I’m extremely happy to welcome David to officially endorse our company. He is an outstanding player, a humble person and a kind soul. His amazing videos on Instagram and Facebook showed us what he is capable of with all the trumpets. We met last year and he first started using the First Aid, then he tried the mouthpieces and he helped a lot play testing a new thing I will announce (hopefully) soon. He plays exclusively on our mouthpieces on all kinds of instruments proving how well they perform and sound in classical music.David plays with: LB 42 top on a 42 L backbore for piston and rotary trumpets in Bb42 L Classical in C for C trumpet MD 40 top and PL 40 M for piccolo trumpetAll in phosphor bronzeFirst Aid on all of his trumpetsMore videos soon! 🙂[email protected]

I’m very happy to have finally met Terell Stafford in person and to have found a new friend!
He flew to the shop to test a few horns, it’s been a close call between Romantica and Classica for two days and he ended up getting the latter for its incredibly fast response and ease.

We are going to gold plate it for him, it will look awesome!

He also spent a bit of time with Sergei Nakariakov’s very flugelhorn which is soon going to Joey Tartell.

Very proud and very happy!

What a surreal experience: sponsoring Sergei Nakariakov’s recital at the ITG, the concert hall full beyond capacity, him and Maria playing the Swan as a present to my wife and I, and all this on the instrument I dreamed of building for him.

Thanks so much to Paolo Trettel, Gary Greenfelder and the people that showed so much love to us this week!
