Since the beginning of V.VM, we have created candles inspired by our own real memories from our time in the Italian countryside. Each scent begins with a place, a season, a moment that inspired us.

Our first candle, Stone House, was born from one of our memories: standing in an olive grove and watching a farmer burn freshly cut branches. The air filled with the scent of olive wood smoke, dry earth, and the fading warmth of the day. It was a simple moment, but unforgettable. We knew immediately we wanted to capture it.

There’s something special about Via Maggio. ✨🇮🇹

Originally called Via Maggiore, it was the broadest and most important street in Florence at the time - and it became one of the great streets of Florentine life after the Medici court moved to nearby Palazzo Pitti in the 16th century. Noble palaces, artists’ workshops, collectors, makers, and later generations of antique dealers all found their place here.

Even today, Via Maggio remains one of Florence’s most historically and artistically significant streets, a place where centuries of craftsmanship, collecting, restoration, and beauty still feel deeply alive.

That spirit is part of why being here feels so meaningful to us.

At V.VM, we believe in living with objects made with care: preserving pieces with history, restoring what can be restored, and creating new handmade objects - linens, ceramic dinnerware, candles, soaps, terracotta - that are meant to be used, loved, and kept for years to come.

In many ways, it feels like we landed exactly where we were meant to be.

There’s something special about Via Maggio. ✨🇮🇹

Here some Pewter Cups and Silk Velvet Cushions create a beautiful moment at V.VM Firenze.

Pewter has been appreciated on tables for centuries. We love its weight in your hand, its soft shine, and the way it creates a gentle patina slowly, over time.

Silk velvet - one of the most luxurious textiles ever made, and also one of the most tactile - incredibly soft. For centuries it appeared only in courts and cathedrals. Now it belongs on your sofa.

In a world where everything is moving online, we believe there is something irreplaceable about walking into a space and actually experiencing it.

Touching a piece of linen. Smelling a candle before you decide it is the one. Holding a ceramic cup and feeling the weight of it in your hands. Finding something unexpected in a corner that you were not even looking for.
