Il blu acceso del telaio ricorda l’oceano, placido e privo di onde. È proprio da quell’assenza di movimento, infatti, che presero vita le prime MTB.
Erano gli anni ‘70 e i surfisti in attesa dell’onda perfetta, guardarono alle colline come onde terrene da poter cavalcare.
Tra i pionieri dell’onda solida troviamo Joe Breeze, Tom Ritchey, Charlie Kelly e proprio Gary Fisher. Iniziarono con delle Klunkers, ma perfezionarono presto la meccanica grazie al talento di personalità come Charlie Cunningham, Steve Potts e Mark Slate.
Questa Wahoo sembra essere il simbolo della scoperta di una nuova libertà e un nuovo mezzo d’espressione.

Un telaio unico, che rimane lungo la West Coast americana dalla serie sterzo Chris King GripLock alle leve freno fino ai cantilever Paul Components al posteriore e ControlTech all’anteriore.
Un bel balzo oltre l’oceano pacifico per una guarnitura XTR M900 avviluppata da una catena tesa da un cambio XTRM900 di uno splendido color ottanio.

The bright blue of the frame evokes the ocean—calm and without waves. It was from that very stillness, in fact, that the first mountain bikes were born. It was the 1970s, and surfers waiting for the perfect wave turned their eyes to the hills, seeing them as earthly waves they could ride.
Among the pioneers of the solid wave were Joe Breeze, Tom Ritchey, Charlie Kelly, and Gary Fisher himself.
They started out with Klunkers, but soon refined the mechanics thanks to the talents of figures like Charlie Cunningham, Steve Potts, and Mark Slate.

Sono riflettenti, sono regolabili, sono disponibili in colorazioni in pieno stile anni ‘90! È come attaccare alla bici il centrino all’uncinetto della nonna ma che si illumina al buio.
Sono pensati e cuciti a mano in Oakland, California da Kyle di Visto Cycling e ti rendono visibile fino a 300 metri.

Ce ne rimangono ancora pochi perché gli altri sfrecciano già nelle lunghe notti estive della periferia veneziana.

Riemerge da un mercatino del profondo Veneto orientale, il tipico dal quale è possibile tornare a casa con un candelabro dal dubbio gusto e un servizio da tè degli anni Trenta.
è stato colpito dal viola acceso di questa GT Karakoram e ha così deciso di caricarla in macchina, per poi seguire le correnti dell’alto Adriatico fino a Porto Marghera.

Ci siamo presi del tempo per capirla e per montarla a modo nostro: cantilever DiaCompe silver, indissolubilmente legati a delle splendide leve Shimano XT, in un naturale e quanto mai doveroso ensamble con una serie sterzo DiaCompe e un cambio Shimano XT.
Un tocco anglo-americano, seppur con retroterra alquanto diversi, arriva dalla sella Brooks C13 e dalla guarnitura Ritchey Logic. Ruote Matrix d’oltreoceano su mozzi Shimano.

Ora è leggera, ruvida e affascinante.
Un Arbre Magique in tinta lascerà una traccia inconfondibile del vostro passaggio, anche quando sarete già lontani!

It resurfaced from a flea market deep in the eastern Veneto region — the kind where you might walk away with a questionably tasteful candelabra and a 1930s tea set.
was struck by the bold purple of this GT Karakoram and decided to load it into the car, following the upper Adriatic currents all the way to Porto Marghera.
We took our time to understand it and build it our way: silver DiaCompe cantilevers, inseparably paired with beautiful Shimano XT levers, naturally and deservedly complemented by a DiaCompe headset and Shimano XT derailleur.
An Anglo-American touch — though from quite different backgrounds — comes from the Brooks C13 saddle and the Ritchey Logic crankset. Overseas-born Matrix wheels spin on Shimano hubs.

Now it’s light, gritty, and full of character.
A color-matched Arbre Magique will leave an unmistakable trail of your passing — even when you’re long gone!

Seattle-Porto Marghera, un itinerario insolito, non credete? Eppure da lì arrivano queste borse Swift Industries, pedalando controvento nella sempre più spasmodica produzione su ampia scala. Sono prodotte in modo artigianale, sono esteticamente ineccepibili e possono accompagnarvi sia al lavoro sia in un f***e viaggio su due ruote.
Per ora sono comodamente sedute sulla poltrona della nonna ma sarebbero felici di partire per un lungo viaggio insieme a voi!

500 metri “testa a testa” da srotolare sul posto, su bici da pista. Un paio di rulli Kreitler accetteranno di buon grado le vostre sollecitazioni e frustrazioni. Solidali nell’attrito volvente, saranno arbitri imparziali di sfide casuali o ancestrali rivalità.

Potrete dare libero sfogo alla vostra rivalità al Fuori Pavè in Corte Legrenzi oggi 10 maggio.
