🎻 The best collectors often ask the same questions museums do.

Not simply “Is this instrument rare?” or “Do I like how it sounds?” — but also:

How original is it?
How well documented is it?
How has it survived through time?

These are the questions that shape institutional acquisitions, and they can be just as valuable for private collectors.

Because while beauty attracts attention, authenticity, provenance, and preservation are often what sustain long-term significance.

In this carousel, we explore some of the principles that guide museums when evaluating fine instruments — and why they remain relevant far beyond institutional collections.

If you would like guidance on authenticity, condition, provenance, or market positioning, we would be delighted to assist you confidentially.

🎻 More than an instrument. A journey.

Commissioning a violin, viola, or cello by Luiz Amorim is a unique opportunity to work directly with the maker and become part of the creation process from the very beginning.

Whether you dream of a faithful historical copy or an original model with its own identity, every instrument is built with the same dedication, attention to detail, and pursuit of sound.

From discussing your musical needs to selecting materials and final adjustments, we are here to guide you through every step and make the experience as enjoyable as the instrument itself.

✨ Current waiting time: approximately 3 years.

📩 If you are considering commissioning an instrument and would like to learn more about the process, we would be delighted to arrange a call and answer any questions.

🎻 Behind every great instrument stands a great maker.

From Andrea Amati, who helped define the violin itself, to Stradivari and the Guarneri family, whose instruments continue to shape the dreams of musicians and collectors centuries later, these makers transformed pieces of wood into some of the most admired works of art ever created.

Their influence extends far beyond the workshop. They changed the way music sounds, the way instruments are built, and the standards by which violin making is still judged today.

And perhaps most remarkably, their legacy continues to inspire contemporary makers who carry this tradition into the present day.

✨ Which maker would you most like to own, play, or learn more about?

A violin does not begin when the wood is cut 🎻
It begins when someone decides to truly listen — to an instrument, to a tradition that has been speaking for three centuries.

In this conversation, Luiz shares what it meant to craft the Signature Series.

The weight of the Stradivari Willemotte 1734 as a model. The research for the right wood, the right sound, the perfect portrait of an original that cannot be imitated — only understood. The moment he heard the first violin sing, and felt something pass from hands into the world.

The Signature Series. Seven instruments. One story.
