🇮🇹 Chi lavora con le mani sa che ogni materiale racconta una storia e che la qualità nasce dalla cura con cui si scelgono anche i dettagli più piccoli.

Nel mio lavoro di liutaio mi capita spesso di cercare pennelli, pigmenti, colori ad olio, resine e tanti altri materiali indispensabili. Da anni li trovo da Arti e Colore di Cremona, un luogo dove la competenza si accompagna alla passione per il bello.

Ma ciò che apprezzo di più è l’aspetto umano. Conosco la proprietaria e ogni volta mi accoglie con la sua gentilezza, la sua disponibilità e quella sensibilità che solo chi ama davvero il proprio lavoro sa trasmettere.

In un tempo in cui tutto corre veloce, è un privilegio poter entrare in un negozio dove si viene accolti con un sorriso, ascoltati con attenzione e consigliati con competenza.

Per questo desidero ringraziare di cuore la proprietaria Aurora di Arti e Colore. Per chi ama l’arte, il colore e l’artigianato, è molto più di un negozio: è un punto di riferimento.

As a violin maker, I often need brushes, pigments, oil paints, resins, and many other materials essential to my craft. For years, I have found them at Arti e Colore in Cremona—a place where expertise meets a genuine passion for art and craftsmanship.

What I value most, however, is the human side of the experience. I have the pleasure of knowing the owner personally, and every visit is made special by her kindness, generosity, and thoughtful advice. She has that rare ability to make everyone feel welcome while sharing her knowledge with enthusiasm.

In a world that moves ever faster, it is a privilege to find a shop where you are greeted with a smile, listened to with care, and guided by true professionalism.

My sincere thanks to the owner Aurora of Arti e Colore. For anyone who appreciates art, color, and fine craftsmanship, it is far more than a shop—it is a place of inspiration.

I would like to express my sincere gratitude to Arthur, Virginie, Jeanne, Katia, Marie, and the entire organizing team of the violin making competition in Mirecourt for inviting me to serve on the jury. It was a true honor and a wonderful experience that I will remember with great pleasure.

It was a real pleasure to work alongside my fellow jurors, Iris Carr, Peter Beare, and Silvio Levaggi. We shared not only our passion for violin making but also many enjoyable moments together, creating a wonderful atmosphere throughout the competition. I truly appreciated the opportunity to work with such knowledgeable, friendly, and inspiring colleagues.
Congratulations to all the prize winners in both the violin making and bow making competitions. Your dedication, craftsmanship, and passion were truly inspiring. I would also like to congratulate every participant who submitted their work. The overall standard was remarkably high, and it was a pleasure to admire so many beautiful instruments and bows.

My heartfelt thanks also go to all the organizers, the volunteers, the beautiful town of Mirecourt, and everyone who contributed to making this event such a success. Everything was so thoughtfully organized, and it was clear how much dedication and care went into every detail
The competition was enriched by an outstanding program of side events, including visits to the museum and the violin making school, fascinating lectures, beautiful concerts, exhibitors specializing in tonewood and setup materials, and, of course, the exhibition of all the competing instruments and bows. These activities made the entire experience even more enjoyable and rewarding.

A very special thank you to the Beausert Leik family for their generous hospitality. They welcomed me with such kindness and made me feel completely at home throughout my stay.
Most of all, I am grateful to have met so many wonderful people. Experiences like this remind us that, beyond the competition itself, it is the people we meet, the conversations we share, and the friendships we build that leave the deepest impression.
