Early essentials start this morning.. long day in the heat and an equally long evening. We have had a lovely weekend at Boxmoor Bank Holiday Floating Market and Canal Weekend . A big thankyou to everyone who visited all of us traders. It has been and absolute pleasure to meet you.

We have again met some absolutely amazing people today.. and also some equally amazing fur babies. I do hope the pregnant lady who was unwell today is feeling much better. I guess now its time for me to get some sleep. Early start tomorrow with an urgent wholesalers trip.. then we open our sweet shop at 10am for the last day of Boxmoor Bank Holiday Floating Market and Canal Weekend to my beautiful granddaughters Suzanne Reeve-Wilkes and Sam Reeve-Wilkes it was an absolute pleasure talking with you tonight.

🛥️ Hard at work on the waterways! 🌊
It has been an absolute whirlwind of a day. We’ve successfully moved the boat down to Boxmoor to get ready for the big Floating Market this bank holiday weekend! 🎉
But the work didn't stop when we tied up. I’ve spent the rest of the day glued to the laptop and notebook, tackling the paperwork and were getting the website beautifully user-friendly for you all. 💻✨

They say it takes a village, but in my case, it takes a whole community of supporters, readers, and sugar-lovers! 🌊✨
Looking back at how far things have come—from the first bead I ever wove to the latest crochet project off the hook—I’m feeling incredibly lucky. Whether you’ve followed my writing journey, commissioned a handmade gift, or stopped by the shop for something sweet, you’ve played a part in making this dream a reality.
As the sun starts to stay out longer, I am so ready for the magic of the summer months ahead. Thank you for being part of this wild, creative journey. I can't wait to see you all out on the towpath!

I’ve been busy working on another project recently. I know this page is mostly about sweets, but there’s so much more that I do that many people don’t know about — and today I felt like sharing a little of that with you all. 🧶

I’ve been crocheting a historic temperature blanket for the birth year of 1957. This is the second one I’ve made, and I’m about to start a couple more!
For these blankets, I research the temperatures for the entire year and create the design using overlay mosaic crochet. Every colour tells part of the story of that year, which makes each blanket completely unique.

This beautiful blanket has now left me and started its journey to the Isle of Wight. A huge thank you to Dawn Wilson for: 1️⃣ Helping show just how long this beautiful blanket really is!
2️⃣ Taking it safely over to the island for me.

Now onto the next two blankets — which I’ll be working on together! 😊
