Welcome to Alcova Cellini, the house of my dreams. My name is Sabine, I’m Belgian, and I’ve had a lifelong passion for Italy. For over 25 years, I’ve been importing the finest artisan Italian specialties to Belgium with great love. Here, in my dream house, I want to share that passion with you. Instead of a traditional breakfast, I offer my guests a special gift: a small bottle of superiore olive

oil from the region, one of my personal favorites. The 100 ml bottle is perfect for taking home in your hand luggage, so you can continue to enjoy the flavors of Puglia. Alcova Cellini is located in the historic center of Cisternino, just a few steps from everything. On the back of this card, you’ll find a map with my favorite spots in town: the best places to have breakfast, enjoy an aperitif, taste an authentic pizza, or savor a delicious lunch or dinner – from local butchers to gourmet restaurants. My love for Italy and artisan products is reflected in every detail of the house. An authentic Bialetti is ready for you to make your own espresso italiano. Enjoy Puglia and discover Italy through my eyes. Love the beach?

San Biagio is een heilige die in de katholieke traditie wordt vereerd op 3 februari 🌟. Hij leefde in de 4e eeuw als arts en bisschop in Armenië en werd later martelaar. Volgens de overlevering heeft hij tijdens zijn leven een jongen gered die bijna stikte door een visgraat in zijn keel — sinds die gebeurtenis wordt hij gezien als beschermheilige tegen keelpijn en andere keelziekten 🤒🙏🏼. 

Op zijn feestdag, 3 februari, is het in veel kerken gebruikelijk om de “zegen van de keel” te ontvangen 🌿. Hierbij kruist de priester twee gezegende kaarsen en raakt hij daarmee zachtjes de keel aan terwijl hij bidt voor bescherming tegen kwalen van de keel en andere ziekten 💛. 

Deze traditie is niet alleen een religieuze gewoonte, maar ook een mooi symbool van geloof, hoop en zorg voor je gezondheid 🤗. Veel mensen gaan naar de kerk om deze zegen te krijgen — hopelijk gezond en zonder pijn! 😊

San Biagio è un santo molto amato, ricordato ogni anno il 3 febbraio 🌟. Vissuto nel IV secolo come medico e vescovo in Armenia, è diventato famoso per aver miracolosamente salvato un bambino che stava soffocando per una lisca di pesce 🙏🏼😮 — per questo motivo è considerato il patrono della gola e protettore dalle malattie del collo e della gola 🤒. 

La tradizione cattolica prevede la “benedizione della gola” il giorno della sua festa: il sacerdote incrocia due candele benedette e le posa delicatamente sulla gola delle persone mentre prega per la protezione da malanni e disturbi 💛🔥. Questo rito è un segno di fede, salute e speranza per tutto l’anno 🙌🏼. 

Molti fedeli partecipano alla celebrazione per ricevere questa benedizione e affidarsi alla protezione di San Biagio 😊🎉.
