What is Galileo Guitars?
A new Red Special line?
An experimental project?
A single model?

None of the above.

Galileo Guitars is a brand exclusively dedicated to crafting Red Special replicas. It was founded at the end of 2025 out of the need to separate two very different worlds of communication: on one side, my original production; on the other, the Red Special universe.

Although I started my career building Red Special guitars, and have made nearly 200 instruments to date, I have always felt the need to pursue my own creative research as well, rather than focusing exclusively on a single model.

This is how Galileo Guitars came to life: as an identity of its own, created to give space and coherence to both sides of my work.

The name “Galileo” comes from the most affordable model I previously offered under Carpinteri Guitars. This was not a casual choice: on one hand, it allowed me to position the brand in a market segment that is often overlooked in the Red Special world; on the other, it preserves a connection to an Italian name, also present in Queen’s imagery, which in some way accompanied the beginning of my journey.

All Galileo guitars are entirely handcrafted by me in my workshop, with the same artisanal approach that defines every instrument I build.

Galileo’s production is built around two main models:

Model 01
A Red Special designed for players who care about substance, but with a neck profile closer to that of a Stratocaster, making it more approachable than the noticeably larger dimensions of the original.

Model 02
Designed for those who are looking for a more faithful replica and want to experience the Red Special in its fullest form.

Two variants are based on Model 01:

01-84
Inspired by the 1984 Guild versions, fitted with a Kahler bridge.

01-JB
Inspired by the John Birch, a handcrafted 1970s replica that can also be seen in the We Will Rock You video.

The latest batch of ‘Bohemian RS Extreme Version’ is finally complete and ready to be delivered to their owners.

From now on, the Bohemian will no longer be available to order. This doesn’t mean I won’t build it anymore: it will be made only when time and inspiration allow, and offered for sale on my website once completed.

Ho scelto di portare avanti la mia attività qui, nella mia terra. Non per caso, ma per amore. Perché la Sicilia non è solo gli stereotipi che la inseguono, è cultura, arte, tradizione, e una forza silenziosa che sa rinascere ogni volta. Da questa voglia di riscatto nasce una nuova visione: più consapevole, più lungimirante, più autentica. Ogni chitarra che costruisco è un pezzo della mia identità, un dialogo tra passato e futuro, tra radici e libertà. Perché credere nella propria terra, e nella propria voce, è già un atto rivoluzionario.

I chose to carry on my craft here, in my homeland. Not by chance, but out of love. Because Sicily is not just the stereotypes that follow it, it’s culture, art, tradition, and a quiet strength that knows how to be reborn, time after time. From this desire for redemption comes a new vision: more conscious, more forward-looking, more authentic. Every guitar I build is a piece of my identity, a dialogue between past and future, between roots and freedom. Because believing in your land, and in your own voice, is already a revolutionary act.
