I have been thinking a lot about reinvention lately. I have had to reinvent myself many times, sometimes it wasn't really my choice, sometimes it was. I have noticed that at this age a lot of my peers are being put to the test. I know of several right now who are highly successful people who for whatever reason no longer have a job, or are very unhappy in their job. Some have the option of just retiring and others don't. This post is for the ones who don't. Finding a job later in life isn't easy, there is a lot of age discrimination. But one thing I notice from my point of view, is people get very stuck in staying in their own box. Sometimes, drastic change is where you will find the answer, but it's really hard to see it when you are in the middle of it all. We think we "need" to have certain things or situations to be happy, but we really don't. We make excuses of why we can't make big changes but the truth is it's scary. I love drastic change so maybe that has made me able to do it, but it is never easy. It's never too late to learn new skills, move to a new place, make new friends, create a new career. When people won't hire us we need to create our own career. If we aren't happy in our life we need to change it. It isn't easy, it's hard and frustrating but can be extremely rewarding. Step outside of the box, way outside if you can, and try to look from a big broad "what if" perspective. My two cents for the day ❤️❤️
