Because, in the end, making a remake of an iconic pinball machine like FunHouse is more than difficult — it’s like climbing a mountain. Steep, challenging, exhausting… but incredibly rewarding once you reach the top.
Every step in the creation of our first remake has been challenging, fueled by pure passion and dedication.

BIO:
Frank has been a pinball player, owner, and enthusiast since the age of eight. With decades of experience as an application and interface programmer, he brings a strong technical background combined with a lifelong passion for pinball.
He programmed two original pinball titles, Wrath of Olympus (2015) and Legends of Valhalla (2021), and has also worked on DMD colorization for several commercial titles, including Avatar, Transformers, and Tommy.

Frank is excited to bring enhanced connectivity and modern features to Pedretti’s next game, helping shape a richer and more connected player experience.

We are happy and proud to introduce one of the latest additions to our team — Jay, who will be in charge of the display graphics and animations for our upcoming pinball projects.
We are confident that Jay’s creative contribution will be of the highest quality, thanks to his experience, artistic vision, and outstanding achievements over the years. His work will play a key role in shaping the visual identity, storytelling, and on-screen energy of our next games.
We’re excited to have him on board and look forward to what we will build together.
This is just the beginning.

BIO:

Jay Powell is a visual artist from the U.S. with over two decades of experience. He has lent his talents to everything from hand-painted murals for Motorola to pixel-perfect dot matrix animations for modern pinball machines.

In 1999, Jay joined High Voltage Software, creating video game art for industry giants like Microsoft, Disney, and Ubisoft. In 2005, he made the jump to arcade and coin-op games at Play Mechanix, acting as Senior Artist on Aliens Extermination for Global VR. Jay teamed up with lead programmer Sam Zehr to form ATHYRIO Games in 2008, stepping fully into the wild world of pinball by 2013.

If you’ve played one of the Chicago Gaming Company’s Bally/Williams remakes, you’ve undoubtedly seen Jay’s work. He created everything from full-color DMD animations, toppers, storyboards for new animations, and pretty much everything that needed creative visual flair.

Now partnered with Pedretti Gaming, Jay continues to blend old-school artistry with interactive digital magic tailored for pinball machines and the fans who love them.

BIO:
Sam Zehr began his pinball journey in college by fixing up a broken Dolly Parton. Soon after, he started his first job – at Capcom – programming their debut game Pinball Magic. He’s been working on arcade games ever since, with stops at Konami, Midway, and PlayMechanix creating games such as CarnEvil and Aliens: Extermination.
He founded Athyrio Games in 2006 and has been working as an independent developer ever since. His projects have spanned video games, redemption games, and even a slot machine, before he came back to pinball in 2014 to work on the remake of Medieval Madness. He continued with the other classic Williams remakes Attack From Mars, Monster Bash, and Cactus Canyon.

Sam’s extremely excited to be working with Pedretti Gaming and can’t wait to show the next game!
