Kæru vinir fóu!
Það hryggir okkur mjög að tilkynna að fóa hefur lokað dyrum sínum eftir fimm farsæl ár á Laugaveginum. Ekki tókst að semja við leigusalann þegar samningurinn okkar rann út og við verðum því að kveðja fallega húsnæðið okkar á horninu. Það er lítið hægt að
gera annað en að gleðjast yfir þeim frábæra tíma sem við fengum til að kynna ferðamenn fyrir íslenskri list og handverki eins og það gerist best.
Við þökkum innilega fyrir stuðninginn sem við höfum fengið og sendum sérstakar þakkir til allra hæfileikaríku listamannana sem við höfum haft þá ánægju að vinna með í gegn um árin.
Það er ekki útilokað að fóa finni nýtt þak yfir höfuðið, hvort sem það verði á Laugavegi eða veraldarvefnum. Þangað til vonum við að þið gleymið ekki litla rebbanum í Reykjavík. 💙
Við ljúkum þessu með mynd eigandanum og elsta starfsmanninum að afgreiða síðasta viðskiptavininn sem rambaði inn í fóu alla leið frá Sri Lanka!

Dear friends of fóa! It saddens us greatly to say that fóa has closed her doors after five prosperous years on Laugavegur. We were unable to negotiate with the
landlord at the end of our lease so we sadly must say goodbye to our lovely home on the corner. There is nothing we can do other than be happy and grateful for the wonderful time we had to introduce visitors to Icelandic art and handcraft at its very finest.
We want to wholeheartedly thank everyone for the support we have received and send special thanks to all the talented artists we have had the pleasure of working with over the years.
All hope is not out as we have not eliminated the possibility of finding another roof over fóa‘s head, whether it be on Laugavegur or the worldwide web.
Until then we hope you won‘t forget the little vixen of Reykjavík 💙
