Sona Masuri is a medium-grain rice grown largely in the Indian states of Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka and It is lightweight and aromatic.
Sona masuri (also called as BPT) is largely export to USA,Canada, Europe, Australia, Singapore, Malaysia, and Middle East countries such as SaudiArabia, UAE, and Qatar.
It is mainly cultivated in the state of Andhra Pradesh, majorly in Guntur, Kurnool, Mahaboobnagar, Nizamabad, Nellore, Warangal and West Godavari districts.
