Some words stay with you long after the moment has passed.

As we flipped through our visitors’ book from Nirvriti Fables, we found more than feedback — we found memories, emotions, and reflections that quietly capture what this gathering has come to mean.

Each note, each line, reminds us why we do this. Not just to host an event, but to create a space where stories are shared, connections are formed, and something meaningful lingers.

We’re sharing a few of these voices with you — in their own words.

To everyone who wrote, spoke, participated, and simply showed up — thank you for being a part of this story.

Over the past three months, what began as a quiet journey alongside the Kochi Muziris Biennale slowly unfolded into something far more intimate and meaningful.

Within the squash court at the Cochin Club, a new rhythm emerged — one shaped by art, softened by conversations, and held together by moments of genuine connection. It became more than a space; it became a feeling we carried, day after day.

To our artists, who trusted us with their expressions.
To our patrons, who walked in with curiosity and stayed with warmth.
And to this ever-inspiring city, which continues to hold space for stories like ours — thank you.

We remain open till 29th March.
There is still time to walk in, pause, and be a part of what we’ve built together.

See you before we close.

From Ernakulam to the quiet rhythm of clay.

Alvin’s journey into ceramics began after studying Visual Communication in Bangalore, but it truly took form in 2023, when he stepped into the studio at Artmosphere Pottery, Thiruvaniyoor, apprenticing under Sushma Anand. Since then, the wheel, the slab, and the silence of making have become part of his language.

For the past three years, he has been shaping vessels—
not the ones we expect,
but the ones that live somewhere between use and imagination.

His pieces move away from familiar curves, leaning instead into geometry and balance. Hand-built slabs come together to form structures that question what a vessel can be. Are they objects of function, or quiet sculptures waiting to be held?

Perhaps both.

In Alvin’s work, clay becomes a conversation—
between form and space,
between utility and art.
Each piece holding the possibility of being used,
and the freedom of simply being admired. ✨

Since December, Nirvriti Store has found a beautiful home at the Cochin Club, quietly unfolding alongside the artistic pulse of the Kochi-Muziris Biennale.

What has made this journey truly special is the presence of our artisans — their hands, their stories, and their stunning creations that have filled this space with warmth and meaning. The love and appreciation from everyone who has walked in and paused to experience these works has been deeply heartening.

Now, as we step into the final month of our presence at the Club, we feel both gratitude and anticipation.

For those who haven’t yet wandered through this little world of craft and stories, we warmly invite you to come by — to discover, to linger, and to take in the beauty our artisans have so lovingly brought together.

Before we gently turn the page on this chapter. ✨

Rosa Abraham

(Kosava Studio | Ceramic & Glass Designer)
Working from her home studio in Thiruvananthapuram, ceramic and glass designer Rosa Abraham, founder of Kosava Studio, builds a practice rooted in quiet observation and material sensitivity.

Trained in Ceramics and Glass Design at the Indian Institute of Crafts and Design, Jaipur, where she completed her postgraduate studies, Rosa developed a strong foundation in material exploration and contemporary craft practices before establishing her independent studio practice.

Her creative process begins with noticing — architecture, foliage, and everyday objects become starting points that gradually transform into forms, textures, and patterns in clay. Rather than imposing ideas onto the material, Rosa allows the responsiveness of clay itself to guide the making, embracing a slow and attentive rhythm of creation.

Each piece is either hand-built or wheel-thrown, shaped patiently so that the traces of touch remain visible. This deliberate pace lends her work an intimate, human quality — objects that carry the memory of process as much as purpose.

Rosa’s practice exists at the intersection of function and sculpture. Her ceramics gently blur the boundary between utility and art, inviting users to pause and notice small sensory experiences: how a cup rests in the hand, how light moves across a surface, or how a form holds shadow and silence within a space.

Through Kosava Studio, she creates objects meant not only to be used, but to be lived with — pieces that encourage mindfulness in everyday rituals.
