Allied Safety Equipments Pvt. Ltd × Petzl had the privilege of contributing to one of India’s iconic Himalayan endeavours by conducting a specialised rope access & rescue techniques demonstration for the Indian Army team participating in the Mt. Nanda Devi East (7,434 m) Expedition 🏔️🇮🇳

The objective of the session was to share advanced technical skills for high-altitude safety, focusing on practical rope manoeuvres, efficient movement on steep terrain, and emergency response systems essential for complex mountain environments.

The training covered:
🔹 Rappelling techniques using multiple descenders + safe descender knot
🔹 Ascending systems with Tibloc & Prusik
🔹 Rope tensioning methods
🔹 Rescue systems, including crevasse self-rescue
🔹 PPE inspection & safety checks

The “Adventure Climbing & Adventure Equipment Workshop – 2025” for Tata Steel Adventure Foundation wrapped up today at the Sports Climbing HPC in 🧗‍♀️✨

A total of 7 dedicated coaches from 8 grassroots centres across Odisha came together to upskill and strengthen the climbing ecosystem. From belay techniques, climbing knots, and rescue drills to basic PPE inspection and safe climbing practices — every aspect of adventure climbing was covered hands-on. 🔗🪢🧰

Workshops like these are shaping the next generation of coaches and climbers, ensuring safety, strength, and passion for the sport. 💪🔥

A big thanks to Tata Steel Adventure Foundation and the Government of Odisha for their constant support in empowering grassroots coaching and building a strong sporting culture.

A power-packed 2-day immersive workshop hosted by Allied Safety Equipment Pvt. Ltd. in collaboration with Mapro Adventure Park, focused on real-world climbing safety and rope rescue techniques!

🎯 Led by certified Allied–Petzl instructors, the workshop offered adventure enthusiasts, climbers, and rescue professionals a unique opportunity to gain practical, hands-on experience in vertical and high-angle environments.

Participants were trained in:

🧗‍♂️ Safe belaying methods for both top rope and lead climbing
⚙️ Building efficient anchor systems and understanding load distribution principles
🚨 Executing basic rope rescue scenarios with precision
🧰 Proper inspection, use, and maintenance of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
🪢 Mastering climbing and rappelling techniques using static ropes
🌉 Setting up a Tyrolean traverse and operating a 4:1 pulley-based lifting system

From foundational safety to real-time rescue simulations, this workshop strengthened technical capabilities and built confidence for challenging vertical adventures.

As the sole distributor of Petzl in India, Allied Safety Equipments Pvt. Ltd. conducted an technical workshop session focused on vertical mobility, rescue systems, and specialized gear use across alpine.

🔹 Ascenders – Jumar, Tibloc, Croll, Basic (toothed cams), Shunt, and Rescuecender (cam-based).
🔹 Descenders – Grigri, Huit (Figure 8), Rack, Rig, and I’D.
🔹 Harnesses – Whisper, Altitude, Fly, Corax
🔹 Helmets – Meteor, Sirocco
🔹 Pulleys – Single, tandem, Nano/Micro/Mini Traxion (with progress capture)
🔹 Other Gear – Static/dynamic ropes, prusiks, ice screws, ice axes, crampons

🪢 Field session at Fergusson Quarry included:
