As per The Atlantic, five tools that are transforming education:
1. 3D Printers
2. Tablets
3. Graphing Calculators for the 21st Century
4. Building Toys
5. Flight Simulators.

Through these tools, students can better appreciate the relevance and usefulness of theoretical concepts, and thus be more engaged in classrooms.

The third, fourth and fifth grade students at Poplar Bridge Elementary School will be working with 3D printers to learn how to solve problems in a new way. “I thought it was really cool, and I really wanted to use it, so now I'm using it,” a fifth grader commented when he first saw the 3D printer in his classroom.

"To have it actually be something they can hold in their hands, it becomes more real for them," a teacher said.
