1. HOW TO GERMINATE BEETROOT SEEDS?

1. SHOULD WE SOAK THE BEETROOT SEEDS OVERNIGHT FOR BETTER GERMINATION?

No need to soak the seeds in water. Directly we can sow the seeds. But we should keep the seeds moist during the germination.

2. SHOULD WE USE THE SEEDLING TRAY OR DIRECT SOW IS RECOMMENDED FOR BEETROOT SEEDS?

Seedling tray is a best practice because due to heavy rain sometimes there are chances of losing the seeds. So if it is in the tray we will be able to shift it soon. After reaching 2 to 3 inches in length then we can transplant into the pot or direct to the land.

3. WHAT IS THE BEST SEASON?

Beetroots are winter season crop. It requires cool weather to grow. It germinates faster in the winter season because this plant needs a lot of moisture.

4. WILL IT GERMINATE IN ALL SEASONS?

Beetroot seeds can available in all the season also germinate any season. But they grow well in cool conditions.

5. HOW MANY DAYS WILL IT TAKE TO GERMINATE?

It will take 2 weeks to germinate the sprout. During this time, it requires water and potting mix properly to grow as a healthy plant.

6. CAN WE KEEP IT INDOOR AFTER SOWING OR WE SHOULD KEEP IT OUTDOOR?

Beetroots may be cool weather crop but it need at least 2 to 3 hours sunlight every day. So better to place it outdoor or else we have to place it where it can get sunlight properly.

7. WHICH CONTAINER IS SUITABLE? RECTANGULAR, ROUND?

As we recommended round container is comfortable to grow it. Beetroots requires more space grow the root. rectangular pot with at least 6-inch depth is required.

8. WHAT TEMPERATURE IS REQUIRED?

Beetroot requires nearly 10°C - 23°C temperatures. In this temperature beetroot grows well.

GENERAL INFORMATION

Planting seed is an inexpensive way to grow your favorite plants. Growing plants from seed has many good benefits. We will save money, we can choose from varieties far beyond those locally available, we also experience the joy of watching a lifeless seed sprout into a living plant.

A seed is a plant embryo, its initial food supply is stored within a protective coating. Seeds remain dormant until a combination of moisture, temperature, air, and light triggers germination.

In order to plant the seeds, the potting mixture/soil should be moisten or slightly wet. Plant the seed half or an inch inside the soil. When seeds are first planted, they need an extra bit of water in order to start the germination process.

Water the seeds regularly via sprinkler, seeds rely on a constant supply of water to go through the germination process, thereby producing a sprout. Water on a regular basis so that the potting mixture is always moist but never soaking. When your seeds outgrow their containers and are planted outside, they will not need nearly as much water to thrive.

It may take few days to few weeks for the seeds begin to push tiny sprouts through the soil. At this point, they should be moved to natural sunlight. Place them where it gets plenty of light throughout the day.

It may take several weeks before your plants are ready to be transplanted. Most plants go through a growth phase which makes it easy to know when they are ready to be moved outdoors. The first set of leaves that appear are known as the seed leaves. The second set of leaves to appear are called the true leaves and are a sign that your plants are matured and ready for moving. You can feed the plants with a bit of liquid fertilizer after they have sprouted, to help expedite this growing process.

1. HOW TO GERMINATE SEEDS

1. SHOULD WE SOAK THE CORIANDER SEEDS OVERNIGHT FOR BETTER GERMINATION?

Soak the coriander seeds in the clean water overnight. Soaked seeds will give the better result.

2. SHOULD WE USE THE SEEDLING TRAY OR DIRECT SOW IS RECOMMENDED?

We can maintain the seeds in the tray at the beginning. But when the plant reaches 2 to 3 inches in length it requires some more space to grow. Sowing directly into pot is the best way to cultivate.

3. WHAT IS THE BEST SEASON?

Coriander can be grown in any season. But rainy and winter seasons are the best season to grow the Coriander.

4. WILL IT GERMINATE IN ALL SEASONS?

It germinates in all season, but it germinates well in the rainy and winter seasons. If we had good water resources we can grow in summer also.

5. HOW MANY DAYS WILL IT TAKE TO GERMINATE?

Coriander seeds will take 7 to 10 days to germinate from the sowing.

6. CAN WE KEEP IT INDOOR AFTER SOWING OR WE SHOULD KEEP IT OUTDOOR?

Coriander is a outdoor plant. But we can grow it indoor also. In case you are planning to grow indoor, place it where it can get at least five to six hours sunlight everyday.

7. WHICH CONTAINER IS SUITABLE? RECTANGULAR, ROUND?

As the roots of Coriander plant is not long, it can be grown in any type of pots.

8. WHAT TEMPERATURE IS REQUIRED TO GROW CORIANDER?

Coriander grows well at temperatures between 10 and 29 degrees C. It can tolerate temperatures as low as 10 degrees F, but if temperatures exceed 29 degrees C it will start to bolt.



2. WHAT POTTING MIX TO USE?

1. WILL THE COCO PEAT BASED POTTING MIX BE SUFFICIENT OR DOES IT NEED SOIL ONLY?

If you are using a Potting mix, no need to invest for any other compost. Most of the plants need fertilizer and compost to grow. Potting mix has fertilizer and compost content on it. Also, it keeps soil healthy and moist.
