It’s been over 15 years that Dhoop has supported and distributed Eco friendly Ganeshas and every year we eagerly wait for our gang of handmade and natural Ganeshas to make their way to our studio.. each more beautiful than the next. Over the years we have sold idols from Pen, Maharashtra, Sirsi, Karnataka and from Satara, Maharashtra. These idols are completely natural , and are made without using any chemical substances or paints. They are handmade by traditional artisans according to scriptural injunction, and are available in different designs, giving those who celebrate the festival an opportunity to celebrate Ganesh Chaturthi in an eco sensitive and non polluting manner. These can be immersed in a bucket of water at home as they dissolve easily and the water can be poured into plants or in a garden. We usually begin taking orders in June and as we usually only work on pre-orders in order to plan better and we hope that many more will reach out to us and opt for a totally handmade and natural idol of Bappa. As we wait for the festival to begin next week, here’s a post to share the beautiful handmade Ganeshas we have and urge everyone to celebrate this festival naturally!

While there is a large focus on the craft of Kutch, our mission is to preserve and celebrate the cultural heritage of Indian handicrafts and handloom, and bring to the forefront artists from all over India.
