(Lachung Dzomsa):A team of officers from the The Food & Civil Supplies Department GoS,Mangan District lead by the Food Godown Incharge,Chungthang,Shri Sudip Chandra Rai starts distribution of monthly allocation of PDS commodities for the period July-September 2025..

The PDS distribution in the Dzomsa is carried out once in 03 months in line with the traditional and customary practice of the Dzomsas as recommended by the Hon’ble Pipons since the implementation of NFSA 2013..

Further,In compliance to the GoI directives,a special e-KYC camp was also organised with due facilitation from the Hon’ble Pipon Lachung Dzomsa Shri Sonam Tshering Lachungpa,wherein 70% of the Ration Card beneficiaries under AAY and PHH categories of Ration Cards were brought into the eKYC mainstream..

Door-to-Door eKYC facilitation
and outreach were also carried out for senior citizens,sick individuals,and differently abled beneficiaries at their homes by the officers of the Department..

The whole exercise was conducted under the guidance and leadership of the DCSO Mangan,Shri Palden N Lachungpa..

15.10.2025-Mangan:

A joint inspection of commercial establishments under Mangan Bazar was conducted by Food & Civil Supplies Department,Mangan Nagar Panchayat and FSSAI wing of the Health Department assisted by the officers from the Police Department.

The following activitieses were Carried out during the jnspection:
1. Verification certificates of all weighing instruments were checked.
2. Some expired packaged commodities were found displayed for sale for which MNP has been requested to coordinate with FSO, Mangan,for action.
3. Most fast food and restaurants were found using domestic LPG in their kitchen.
Strict durectives were issued as per the LPG Control Order.

The main objective of the inspection was to update the Market in the interest of the general consumers..

The Food & Civil Supplies Department GoS Mangan District has put on hold all the works related to Issue,modification etc in the Ration Card as well as the issue and Renewal of FPs Licence,owing to the migration of the Software from existing RCMS to Smart-PDS..However the applicant can submit their application with respective request to be addressed as and when the migration is completed on FIRST COME FIRST SERVE BASIS…
