Everything is backed by science....
The sun here is sometimes really harsh but warm days help apples make natural sugars, colours, and antioxidants, slowly and steadily, and that’s where the sweetness begins....
As night when the temperatures drop, the apples rest, locking sugar and crispness.
Warm days + cool nights means anthocyanin formation ( a natural pigment responsible for colour) and that’s why high-altitude apples (as of from Kinnaur and other regions) have deeper colour and shine.
So yes, altitude does make difference, and you need to taste that difference!
Try our Golden Delicious (personal favourite) apple from high altitudes of Kinnaur.
