Valmiki ji was a bhraman from his birth but he was brought up by hunters in jungle and one day when he attacked naradji to rob who was passing by jungle.
Naradji - why are you doing this?
Ratnakar - to feed my family.
Narad ji - you are comitting all these sins for your family will they take part in your sins? Ratankar - surely they will as i am doing this for them only.
Narad ji - why don't you go and ask them are they going to be part in your sins, you can tie me here.
Ratnakar tied Narad ji and went back to his family and asked the same question to his mother father and wife.
Mother/Father/Wife - This are your sins, your karmas, why will we take part of it?

Ratnakar was shocked and surrendered in the feet of naradji and asked what should i do? naradji gave shri ram naam but he couldn't spell it right because of the sins committed till now.
