Today books are an integral part of a STUDENT's life, especially the academic books. Every student needs books throughout his academic career and it is not necessary that the books he uses during his academic career are going to be of use to him during his professional career or in any other sense and if in the
future if anyone requires some information he/she would better opt using internet rath
er than searching for a forgone book .Also all the books are not available in the library or the book bank of the college and hence the students have to look at other alternatives for the books .So ,there are basically two methods by which they can get the required books i.e. by buying the books and the other by renting the books(practically the more preferable alternative). Renting of books is a far cheaper method than that of buying the book and moreover this keeps away the tension of preserving the books but today rented
books are not easily available due to lack of suppliers or suppliers’ efficiency and that is why we shaped up this idea. Also such shops or such a market for second
hand books is present in the city and let us not forget the fact that colleges are rarely present amidst the city ,for a fresher it is a sort great tension to go out and
search for the shops in galies and chaurahas ,and since most of the students belong to a middle class society there always a jest to find a better ,easier and cheaper
alternative for everything . Moreover, the students also has to bear a considerable amount of travelling cost to locate these shops for e.g. in Jaipur for a student studying in one of the private colleges, he buys books worth Rs. 4000 and spends Rs. 400 on just going from his college to the bookshop which sells second hand books on his travel expenses and again it is not necessary that he would get all the required books at once. He might have to go more than once. So we may basically conclude that going outside for the books is an utter wastage of time and money. There is also an additional subject that had come under our vision which is the matter that by now many of the first year students buy certain books in their present year due to the lack of information about the book renting services ongoing till date .That is why they buy the books and after the semester have to sell it at
greater loss or they give it to their juniors in the next year. The major problem is with the freshers who come to a new place and are unaware of the functioning of things and with the “what to do and how to do problems”. They do not know which are the books to be referred and where to buy the books or they too may be unaware of any book renting facility . This tells us that the demand of the situation is to find a way to make the book renting services available to students easily with an efficiency in the system of delivery of the order.
