What a Happy moment to see my mentor and dear friend standing next to my award winning work VAIDEHI in Madhubani Literature Festival 2021. Equally sad, as I couldn't attend the same.

A meeting with the most down to earth person Ramcharan Bohra ji, Member of Parliament, Jaipur. Keeping in mind, his kind gesture in my last exhibition, I wanted to gift him Ram Darbar. Holding the same in his hands, he praised the work done but soon sensed my uneasiness and asked me if something is wrong? I said, "Now, I realise it's too small for you. Diwali prep and other things in life kept me so occupied that I couldn't make a bigger one."
He got up from his chair, and put the painting on the wall and said, "Yes.. indeed it's small but it's beautiful, this intricate work should be showcased on a larger scale. What if I ask for a customised one for this conference room of mine? Will you do that? Anything! either Govind Dev ji or Ram Darbaar."

I was excited! I agreed for Ram Darbar.

*For the readers- Govind Dev ji is the Krishna Temple and the most revered diety in Jaipur.

When I told him to keep this painting to gift it to someone, he said, "No, it's your hardwork, don't gift it like that, you can very well sell it to someone." And started putting the same back in the cover. I was stunned by this gesture, he could have asked anyone in the room to wrap it back, but was doing on his own.
What more does an artist want, value his/her art work..that's it! And he was doing the same.

It did not stop here, he kept discussing the intricaies involved in Mithila art form, noticing every minute feature given in अर्धनारेश्वर paitning, how I had taken maa Ganga from Mahadev's hair, the part attempted as Shakti..
Tea session soon got over, he came to drop us outside and kept insisting me to keep this beautiful art form from Bihar and Nepal, floating in Rajasthan.
His guidance and encouragement was much needed in this new city!🙏🏻

When Diwali pleasantly surprises you. 4th out of 150...still need time to sink in. Before starting this painting, I had just prayed to Maa Sita, that it's impossible to attempt her valour, her character and she has to guide me, she should make me sail through it. I was left with such few days, but Kaushik Kumar Jha dada, your encouragement got me here. Once again, I am what I am only because of you🙏🏻.
Thanks to Puja Jha as well for helping me with my human anatomy in my early days.And to Savita Jha ji and Manisha Jha ji for putting up so much efforts and to come up with such a unique idea of portraying VAIDEHI.

Late post.

Day 2 starts with the visit of member of parliament, Ramcharan Bohra Ji. And what a happy moment, when he himself asks the media photographer to click the picture next to the painting, after listening to the whole depiction of VAIDEHI - वैदेही (my art work in the background).
Second half was made by Deepa didi and ._banmala didi. ❤️ School seniors like you are more like elder sisters who are my lifeline in this new city.

Day 1 started with explaining my artwork to the Governer of Rajasthan Kalraj Mishra ji and continued doing the same to hardworking Ruma Devi GVCS Barmer Ji...
I was so honoured to have both of them at my stall !!!
