The exquisiteness of these products is further enhanced by the fact that they are mostly painstakingly handmade. Each item is unique, and for this reason it is highly unlikely that any two piec

es look exactly the same. Growing urbanization displaces many people all at once. Many of our supplier organizations are actively engaged in resettling many such communities and restoring their art and skills. The artisans represent poor rural backgrounds and many forms of elegant art displayed by them unfortunately are on the verge of extinction. They not only lack access to market but also the opportunity to develop globally competitive products. Having little choice, they sell to whoever they can in the close vicinity of their settlement. These sales channels are generally manipulative and the artisans don’t make much money. A core mission of Indilane is to enhance the livelihood of these artisan communities and help them become self-sustaining. In this, we seek your patronage. The items you will find here rarely find their way to the shelves of everyday shopping malls, and it is only due to the widespread Internet technologies that we are able to bring them closer to you. We have toured far and wide to discover such unique talent & these products. Welcome, and we fervently hope that you enjoy these products as much as we have in discovering them. Girisha Hosanagara Nagarajegowda gave India its first medal at the Paralympic Games after bagging silver in the Men's High Jump F42 event in London.

The 24-year old from Karnataka, who has an impairment in his left leg, sailed over a height of 1.74m using scissors technique in the final of the event to finish second in the presence of an 80,000 capacity crowd on Monday night.
